Oyster Roast a Success Despite Rainy Weather
March 3, 2012

OMSA hosted an oyster roast on Saturday to great success.
Though the weather kept some folks indoors, over
150 friends of the practice made their ways to James Island County Park
for music, oysters, and fun.
With a live performance from local musician Henry
Gates, countless oysters, and a roaring fire, the park's Wappoo Shelter
became the best place to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Thanks to everyone involved in making the event such a success!
Dr. Doles Lectures at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital
February 23, 2012
Dr. Lon Doles spoke about alternative treatments for sleep apnea today at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in West Ashley.
Many who suffer from sleep apnea use a machine that applies continuous positive airway pressure to relieve the symptoms of sleep apnea (CPAP machine). Unfortunately, this treatment is not effective for all sleep apnea sufferers.
Dr. Doles specializes in dental sleep medicine and advocates the use of an oral appliance to treat some patients. The oral appliance works by opening the patient's airway, allowing him or her to breathe easier.
The large group at Bon Secours St. Francis consisted of Roper St. Francis Advantage members. Roper St. Francis Advantage is dedicated to helping maturing adults maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, maximizing the prime of their life.
For more information about treating sleep apnea without a CPAP, contact Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates at (843) 554 - 5003 or via email at oralsurgerysc@gmail.com. Click here to see the Post and Courier advertisement for the lecture.
